Based off the information from wikipedia, the novel Into the Wild, appears to be about Chris McCandless's body being found within a deserted bu sin the Alaskan wilderness. Jon Krakauer investigated McCandless's journey upon death. McCandeless ran away from society and changed his name to Alexander Supertramp. McCandless was a person who was inspired by the writings of Henry David Thoreau and Jack London. Chris McCandless imitated the acts of several other young men who journeyed into the woods. Surviving for about 119 days in the wilderness by himself, he kept a journal. Kraukuer believed that McCandless died by accidently poising himself by eating seeds that caused starvation. However Krauker believes were proved wrong.
